Zambia - Orphanage, Church, and Bible School
This village in Zambia has primitive living conditions, meaning no electricity, no plumbing, and no safe water. Transportation here is via foot or bicycle. The diet consists of maize, sheema (like grits), chicken, pigeon, goat, and potatos. The people are kind in nature and regal in attitude, by your standards they are poor but these are happy, loving people in close families.
There is a single nurse for twelve thousand (12,000) people - no doctor and almost no medication. Sanitation is horrible; the average education is equivalent to the seventh grade and the average life span is forty-three years.
The land is beautiful; with lush, green, mountainous jungles. They are full of animals including many poisonous snakes and billions of mosquitos. The major causes of death are malaria and AIDS.
